I create recognisable, abstract acrylic paintings aptly named for their bold colour palette and joyful composition, depicting aspects of everyday life from the humble milk carton to the nostalgic cassette tape, familiar foods and everything in between. My pieces often feature pops of citrus, local produce, spending time with friends and family, or the ceremony of sharing a meal – I link that all back to Mildura as it has a strong influence on my work and I find it’s something I keep coming back to, especially as I get older.
My intuitive approach, together with my keen exploration of technique, colour and composition, I share a unique story with every piece I create. I relish the opportunity to apply deeper meaning and an underlying narrative for my audience.
